MGHL 2026 AGM
The Fort McMurray Gentlemen’s Hockey League (MGHL) will be holding its next Annual General Meeting (AGM) as preparations begin for the upcoming season. The AGM provides an opportunity for team representatives to review the past season, discuss proposed changes, and help shape the direction of the league moving forward.
This year’s meeting will include a review of league finances from the previous season, providing transparency into league operations and overall cost management. League leadership will also present proposed adjustments to the bylaws for discussion, allowing team representatives the opportunity to provide feedback before any changes are finalized.
In addition, the AGM will include discussion surrounding the possibility of a future league re-branding. This discussion will focus on potential updates to league identity and long-term direction, with input from team representatives playing a key role in determining next steps.
The meeting will also provide an update on the newly announced partnership with the Fort McMurray Women’s Hockey League (FMWHL). League leadership will outline how the partnership will operate, what services will be shared, and how the addition of the FMWHL will integrate within MGHL operations moving forward.
Time will also be allocated for team representatives to bring forward additional items for discussion. This open forum allows teams to propose changes, raise concerns, and provide feedback on league structure, scheduling, and overall operations.
All team representatives are encouraged to attend and participate. The MGHL values team input and views the AGM as an important forum for collaboration and discussion as the league continues to evolve. Further details including the date, time, and location will be shared once finalized.
